BREAST AUGMENTATION
Breast Augmentation surgery involves the use of breast implants to increase the size or fullness of the breasts. Breast implants are filled with either silicone gel or saline (salt water). Both types of implants can be an excellent choice. Breast implants are categorized based on their shape, surfacing, and profile. They can be placed either above or below the pectoralis muscle. The incisions can be in the inframammary crease, periareolar or transaxillary.
Dr. Morea has extensive experience with both saline and silicone breast implants. He was an investigator for silicone implants prior to and throughout its FDA approval in December of 2006. Dr. Morea believes it is important to choose an implant that fits your chest/breast dimensionally well and to individualize the procedure as much as possible for you. During your breast augmentation consultation, Dr. Morea will review many before and after photographs to help you visualize your potential result. BREAST LIFT/MASTOPEXY
Breast Lift or Mastopexy is a surgical procedure that can rejuvenate your figure by restoring the lift and fullness to the breast. Childbirth, breastfeeding, and weight loss can cause the breasts to sag or droop. A mastopexy can lift the breast and maintain the same initial size or the mastopexy can increase or decrease the size of the breast. Breast implants, either saline or silicone, can be placed for women who wish to maintain the same size or to achieve larger breasts. In order to lift the breast, the required incisions are different from breast augmentation and may be a factor for women to consider. Mastopexy is performed with incisions around the areola, along with the breast crease and in a vertical line connecting the other two incisions. During your breast lift consultation with Dr. Morea, he will explore and discuss your options to achieve your desired results.

MALE BREAST REDUCTION/GYNECOMASTIA
Excess fat or glandular tissue in the breasts can be embarrassing to men of all ages. This condition is known as Gynecomastia and can be caused by weight gain/loss, hormonal changes or steroid, and other drug use. Men who are reluctant to swim, remove their shirt in public or participate in sports seek treatment for gynecomastia to improve their self-confidence and self-esteem.
Gynecomastia can be treated with liposuction of the chest or a small incision to remove residual tissue that does not reduce with liposuction. During your consultation with Dr. Morea, he will help determine the causes and treatment options that would be the best option for you.
